This Update's Featured Piece:  Cloud and Tifa by Flux

Features Backlog

Fiction, my friends, is one of the greatest creations of humankind; with but a handful of symbols, you can create a tale that sweeps you off to anywhere, anywhen, in any possible - or, often, impossible - situation.  All through the power of imagination.  This section of the FFAA will focus on those who take advantage of this ability, the ones who call themselves writers.  And I shall lose the false sense of 'grand-ness' here shortly, I assure you, just let me get the intro out of the way.

Oh, it is out of the way.  Nevermind.  Anyway, this section is going to be huge, to put it lightly.  I will take submissions - read the guidelines first, though - on stories that are totally original, stories based off of video games, stories that are based off of anime... heck, I might even take a few stories based off of television series.  That's the point of all of this; most sites have a limit to what you can submit, put limitations on your imagination.  We try to take off as many of those shackles as possible.

An explanation as to author placement; members of the Storm Knights' Guild are listed separately from other authors, at the top of the list.  This does not denote ranking.  This separate listing is mostly a 'perk' of being part of the SKG, and their writing is typically going to be the best in the field anyway (with new inductees coming in yearly, this will remain true for quite some time).  Below the SKG Authors are listed the top authors (we'll typically use a top ten or top fifteen; it all depends on the amount of fiction on any given subject).  These are some of the best and brightest writers, based on hits and such, that you can find for the page you're on .

And that's about it... there are a number of tips that I could put together to help you get your story by the committee (especially if it's a work of fanfiction), but that seems like something for a later update. Just click through the links below to find the various sections of fiction, and enjoy!

Submission Guidelines - Want to submit something to the site?  Read the guidelines to find out where to send it to and in what format.  Also some helpful tips on how to get a fic accepted.

Storm Knights' Guild - also linked in other areas of the site, this is Night's elite authors' club, basically.  Based off of this site, we look to expand our roster by one member a year.  Maybe you could be next!  Anyway, this is where we host information about the various members, as well as links to their work, and other things that have something to do with the club.

Reviews - meet the review crew - anyone hungering to write reviews for the site can feel free to sign up - and read up on what stories are best worth your time.  Not yet up, in case you didn't notice.

World of Imagination - some rather well-known authors by the names of Cain, Mox Jet, Nanaki, Neo Kefka, and Nightsong have teamed up, and are writing in a consistent 'fanverse' centered around the concept of the lavoids.  Go here to read all about it.

.

Author Index - don't know what kind of story you're looking for, but know a good author?  This page has a complete listing of every writer on the FFAA, in alphabetical order.

Fanfiction - everything from Chrono Trigger to Gundam Wing to Frasier based fics... well, hopefully not that last one.

Original Fiction - peek into someone's head in these stories, which feature completely original worlds, characters, etc.

Editorials - mainly supplied by the FFAA crew, but anyone can send one in for posting.  Our views on various aspects of the world, and what's going on in it.
