Updates - find out the latest news of the FFAA.

September 20th, 2001 - Yeah, I'm working on an update again. I want everyone to keep this in mind, though; thanks to my new LAN, I don't know if it's going to put up new pages on the actual site as I'm in the PROCESS of putting them up, or if it'll just do it when I hit save on the index page. ...If you see what appears to be incomplete bits of work as you roam about the site, the former is obviously true. If you find that to be the case, please e-mail me and say so... I'll figure out some other way to go about things.

Anyway, this update would be bigger, but I wanted to get something up before I went home for the weekend... so we shall see how much of the fanfiction and fanart I'd like to get up... up.

September 20th, 2001 - No update here, folks. I'm terribly, terribly sorry... and this news is probably more disappointing than no update whatsoever. But here it is. I started college recently. Almost all of my time has been going into that (along with Final Fantasy Tactics... sorry I'm still such a rabid gamer, or, um...). So I'm busy. I hope to update in the next week or two... but I can guarantee nothing. I will say this, though, to all the people who doubted it; this site is not dead. Far from it. Krazy Sam, in fact, granted it its 1000th hit not too long ago. For this, she gets her own ad on my page (hehe, well, actually, I'm going to figure out a better momento of it than THAT, but it's a start). Speaking of which, please do click the little banner to Save Krazy Sam. Hehe, her website needs updated, with all her 1337 art... and she sells t-shirts. With said 1337 art. Woot woot... you know you want to go check it out. Click either the one just above the updates here, or on the bottom of the main page.

Oh, BTW. I fixed the links in Flux's section. God only knows why they were broken in the first place.

,,,And one last thing, concerning the events on September 11th. I was shocked and horrified, as was all of the country, when this happened... and my heart goes out to those who were involved on any level in it. To the injured, to the family of those who died, you have my sincerest condolences. And to those who caused this, I pray you know what you've begun. Where you sought to divide, you have united. God Bless America... is a statement that has taken whole new meaning to me in the past week. And I can say it now with complete sincerity.

Let us pray that this never happens again; let us pray that we can stop these terrorist actions for years and decades to come.

August 8th, 2001 - New day, new update. I'm very glad to get back on track doing this... a full month is simply too long. I'm really supposed to be putting up artwork for like 6 new artists, but, um... it's not like any of them actually visit this site (the ever-helpful Sonicblade emailed them). Oh, and I'm tired/busy anyway (I go to band camp for college next week, and then... CLASS!), so, um, I'm being lazy. I do hope to update Saturday or so, though. In the meantime, check out Sam's excellent excellent artwork, and laugh at the parody stories contributed by Sonicblade and Flux. Speaking of which, sincerest apologies go out to Glarryg for not having all the latest chapters of his work Parasite up today. I've been having some difficulties... they'll go up saturday, I promise.

Oh, and I'm working on some new stuff for the Media section come Saturday... ph33r. Yes, ph33r the Media section...

August 3rd, 2001 - I have some 'splanin to do, I realize. Around July 11th, I got a new computer. Yaay for me; this new computer's about ten times better than my old one, and the hard drive's about 30 times bigger. However, I did not have Frontpage on this new computer, for one very simple reason; the disc I had used to install it on my old computer was scratched, and did not work. 0_o. Thus, I could not update for nearly a month. Horrible, I realize... you all have my profuse apologies for this.

To make up for it, I have a ton of work to get up this update. You'll notice additions all over the site. Oh, and I've got a lot more artwork submissions sitting in my inbox... I just have to get out there and follow the links to get it. XD

July 9th, 2001 - Woo, I've finally hit the critical mass of work I decided would be adequate for an update. I apologize, of course, for the long space in-between, but not only have I been getting stuff up for this, I've been working on a personal site for my Xenofall Saga (Dark Angel being the first book of it). Check that out here. Now then, on to the work. We've finally got our first submissions to the Music Library (non-SKG, you see), from the highly talented Seth Neuffer. Definitely, definitely listen to his work. It's excellent.

Oh, and I replaced the linkbar with something that would center. I think this one actually looks a bit better, anyway.

July 5th, 2001 - Three days, three updates... but it's not like I'm putting up any huge amount of work at once. Oh well, at least I'm updating, eh? Anyway, this update was mainly for the art gallery; Glarryg sent in a fairly voluminous amount of Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross fanart last night, and plus I have a few other artists who sent in stuff a while back that I'd yet to pull off the net. *shrugs* I apologize for the lack of MUCH in the Fiction Library, but if you don't like it, you can always go and read my Dark Angel story. ^_~

Reworked the section; it now incorporates the much-touted "Sections", and not just the Artist Index.
Basically moved all the pictures around into folders, making for a much more organized Art Gallery (though you probably won't notice that).

July 4th, 2001 - Happy Independence Day, for those of you who live in the USA. For the rest of ya... happy Wednesday! Anyway, I have something of an update here for you all... mostly a LOT of pictures I've been sent lately. Enjoy yaselves, and send more work in! I'm starting to get caught up with the stuff that's been sent in... and if I don't have any work to put up, I can't update. And then I'd be forced to *shudder* innovate and come up with more sections for the site. Well, actually, I'm thinking of things I could do to make this place better all the time, but I'd still like to have more and more additions for the Fiction Library, Art Gallery, and Music Library.

July 3rd, 2001 - It's been too many days since I last did an update... and this is just a small one, to boot. I'll attempt to make up for this tomorrow, but I have an excuse! ... I just bought Final Fantasy Chronicles yesterday, and am playing through Chrono Trigger (my favorite game ever) for the first time in about two years. I apologize for my gamer's spirit interfering with the work of this site... I'll make it up to ya with a larger update soon. In the meantime, there are a few additions to the Fiction Library.

Added Chrono Continuum Chapters 81-100 (finished. I realize that chapters 5-80 are not up at the moment; however, those are currently available at www.icybrian.com.).

June 28th, 2001 - I wonder how long I can maintain this update pace... I'm going to try to update every two days or so for at least the next month, but I can't guarantee anything come August... I start college then. I'll keep them as current as possible, though... and if I put up as much work every update as I did today, you'll have plenty to look at anyway. ...and thankfully, the list of things I need to put up on the site never seems to run out! I still have a good bit of Chrono Continuum to put up, and then... um... geez, I am starting to run low of fics that need put up. Please, people, submit something.

Oh, I revamped all the descriptions on the Storm Knights' Guild page. I plan on adding some SKG-related works soon (maybe for Saturday's update).

One last thing. I've changed the place you submit fiction works from the FFAAcommittee@hotmail.com to my own address, lucentnightsong@hotmail.com. It took a bit of thought, but I decided it would be much easier for me to simply figure out which fics to accept from there. I hope my ever-busy committee members aren't too offended... after all, we'll still be using the committee box for art submissions.

June 26th, 2001 - I've got a fair amount of work up this update... check 'er out. Also, I've added a 'feature' thing to the top of the Fiction Library and Art Gallery pages. This, along with the Song of the Update, are something I'm using as an effort to increase the exposure of peoples' work on the site; while this may not seem like a big deal right now, it most certainly will be once this site grows to the large size that it's going to be wont to do.

June 24th, 2001 - Not quite as big an update for the site today... I sincerely hope you weren't expecting one. I do, however, have some new content in the fiction library, as well as some reworking and new stuff for the Art Gallery. The Music Library is also up, though there are currently only two people in it (Sonicblade and I both have several pieces featured, though, so it's all good). Oh, and I added a "Song of the Update" feature to the main page. The autostart on the song is off, so you'll have to start it yourself, but that's where I'd like to feature some of the best music on the page.

June 23rd, 2001 - Every last bit of the site. Unfortunately, the amount of time that doing the HTML for the fiction works on the site is insane, and you'll probably notice - if you're one of the authors who I requested work from - that not all of your work is up on the site as of now. I apologize profusely for this, and promise you that it will go up soon, but I have hit something known as 'work overload', and have had very little time to get anything done.

About this Site

Added the About Nightsong page... well, I added the entire About this Site section, but that's kinda beside the point. It's got a picture of yours truly, in case someone cares.

Fiction Library

Specifically, this section's hard to pin down at the moment. I'll have to go by authors for a moment.

Cain - added Chrono Continuum Chapters 1-4 (revised).
Captain Gaul - added several short works. (all finished).
Glarryg - added Parasite series, prologue-part two.
Intrasonic - Innocence and All That added.

This section's not as well organized as I'd like it to be... yet. This will be my main priority over the next few days (along, of course, with getting my other initial authors up on the fiction sections). In the meantime, there is some work there for you to glance over... it's just not the sharp, high-quality artwork I've got waiting in my inbox. Yet.

Music Library
If you visit this section of the site, you'll likely notice there's nothing up there as of yet. This is because I have very little actual content to put up there as of yet (you can feel free to submit any midi composition that you personally created, whether remixed or original, to ffaacommittee@hotmail.com), which relegated it to a 'backburner' status. It will go up, along with quite a lot of other content, within the week.

The Forum

It's going to be very rare that I make any actual update comments about the forum; it's a pretty self-sufficient place. However, I did want to say that the forum's really taking off as of late, with new group stories on the horizon. If you're an author with some time on your hands, or just think it'd be fun to try something new, we'd love to have you there. And heck, even if you don't want to write, I can assure you that the quality of fiction that the group stories has turned out (notably on the World of Imagination) is top-of-the-line; some of the best work available free of charge on the net.

The Lunar 2 Chat Engine was added, along with 7 parts of both "Crappy Fanfic" by Sonicblade and "Nightfic" by, of course, Nightsong.
